Run Continues: UNO Holds Off SLU

The Privateers' improbable stretch run continues at least one more night: New Orleans held off a furious Southeastern rally to win 82-78 in the Southland quarterfinals.

Jordan Johnson continued his remarkable play with a 32-point outing to lead the Privateers.  The 7th seeded underdogs held a 36-31 lead at the half and expanded that lead to as much as 13 before the 3rd seeded Lions made a late game push, drawing as close as 80-78 before falling just short.

Turk Vincent added 18 for the victors, and he added 13 rebounds to continue his torrid pace on the boards.  Tyson Jackson added 11.

UNO will face Northwestern State in the semifinals tomorrow night.
